| Biography:
John Dartnell was born, raised, and continues to reside in London England. He has played in a lot of bands - some quite famous, others not quite so famous.
John or “The Beard” as he is affectionately known, is a singer/songwriter from London England. His American influenced music and his UK upbringing gives John his own unique style of music. His songs vary from his own style of country (Brit-style), to haunting love songs, songs about life, and naturally, some good old rock 'n roll. To sum up John's music in a few sentences is difficult, so the best way to describe him is unique…. Just listen to the man and listen to his music.
Now and then John is also asked to do some acting work. He played the role of one of the wizards in Harry Potter's movie, “Chamber of Secrets.” In addition, he has appeared in pop videos, and recently made a car commercial in Greece.
During 2008, John joined Sound Machine Radio as a featured DJ who gives a very entertaining live show from the UK every two weeks on Sundays, spinning a variety of songs, taking requests, as well as playing his very own songs live on the air! His many listeners around the world have a blast with him in the chat room during his show, and John's laugher is genuine and contagious to all!
John recently won “Artist of the Year 2008” on Sound Machine Radio, www.soundmachinenc.com. He was also voted “Artist of the Month” in November 2008 on Messa Music of the UK, www.messamusic.co.uk.
The Beard spends most of his time in his studio, preparing quality music that everyone can relate to. He has three CD's available from the following websites, and is in the process of finalizing the recording of his fourth CD. True, his future is yet to be seen, but you can bet that there will be more excitement from him coming into play!
