Biography: HELLRAZOR BIO

Hellrazor is a four piece band hailing from Vancouver BC Canada. They play a unique, innovative and uncompromising mix of hard rock and metal, inspired by the arena rock greats of the 70’s and 80’s. Hellrazor plays “a rare brand of hard rock that has been tried by many and only mastered by a few” and has “very catchy, memorable songs that will have you singing along with them instantly”. At present the group has a “new” CD coming out in a matter of weeks (late June/early July 2008). The album is “new” in the sense that Hellrazor is re-releasing their debut album “Feel the Sting”, which they made in 2006. When being asked the question to the band, “why go through all the trouble of a re-release?” Lead Guitarist TC Davidson had this to say: “Feel the Sting is still a great record and we don’t want to just stop playing those songs. We want to put that record out and promote it in its best light, add some fresh colors to it, and we now have the opportunity to do that with our new singer. Due to prior struggles in the group with the first singer the record wasn’t promoted as well as it should’ve been. But we have new life after parting ways with him and we have a secret weapon: A powerful new female voice to lead the group”.

In the studio this year Hellrazor recorded entirely new vocals for the record with new Vocalist Angela Blade and re-tracked the majority of the music; they also enlisted the aid of a new engineer, Jason Martin, to remix and re-master “Feel the Sting”. The result is that the new recording dramatically brings things up and that it sounds far punchier, confident, better realized and far more powerful than it was previously.

In introducing the band members, the group has long held to the philosophy that,“There is only One Star in the band, and that’s the music”. Vocalist Angela Blade sizzles with an endearing, passionate and powerful voice that electrifies the air while Bass player Kasey Haze shakes and rattles the walls with his booming bass. Lead Guitarist TC Davidson’s guitar playing roars and screams like an enraged lion in for the kill while Drummer Darrin Von Evil splits the ground with his thunderous and explosive drumming. When all the forces combine you get a mind-melting, truly exciting and dangerously good group.

In closing, “Hellrazor's "Feel the Sting" is a welcome journey back to the day when metal bands like W.A.S.P., Motley Crue and Judas Priest were all the rage on the radio and in concert halls. Hellrazor has all the earmarks of what made those bands great: Singable choruses, driving rhythms, melodic guitars and lots of fiery lead guitar”.
